Pawas, born and brought up in India, has been a DJ for 10 years and producing for the last 2.
Son to a classical Indian musician, he was encouraged to play the “tabla” (indian drums) and he accompanied his father to play at concerts. Hence he started to play various other instruments, like percussion, bass guitar and keyboards, which he taught himself to play.
He soon discovered a strong pull towards electronic music, at the time a reluctant scene in India. Instead of following in his father’s footsteps he chose to pursue a career in electronic music and began to DJ at the age of 17. His move to Europe in 2004 transformed his urge of being an electronic musician and took him to another level.
Being surrounded by musical friends, he than got inspired to make music.
He released records with support from friends like Daso and Adam Kroll.
His DJ’ing style is spontaneous, groovy and consists of deep/ tech grounding sounds.

Pawas, DJ und Produzent aus Indien, wurde als Sohn eines traditionellen Sitarspielers schon in frühen Jahren von melodischer Rhythmik und Live-Musik inspiriert.
Obwohl der Autodidakt mit 17 Jahren bereits mehrere Instrumente erlernt hatte, trat er nicht wie erwartet in die Fußstapfen des Vaters. Stattdessen folgte er seiner Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik und begann die Karriere als DJ, ein Beruf welcher besonders in Indien wenig Wertschätzung erfuhr.
Nachdem er vor einigen Jahren den Schritt nach Europa wagte, stand für ihn fest, sich weiterhin als professioneller Musiker in der internationalen Szene etablieren zu wollen.
Mittlerweile lebt Pawas in Köln und produziet seine eigene Musik. Diverse Stücke erschienen bereits auf den Labels Sqounk, Connaisseur, Flash Recordings, Fear of Flying und Spectral Sound. Hierbei handelte es sich sowohl um Solo-Produktionen und Remixe als auch um Gemeinschaftsprojekte mit befreundeten Künstlern wie z.B. Martin Beume und Daso. Weiter Veröffentlichungen befinden sich in den Startlöchern, u.a. auch Tracks in Zusammenarbeit mit RaySoo.
